The Rev. Judith Johnson-Siebold, Ph.D. Has been a United Methodist Pastor for her entire adult life. Educated at Syracuse University and Garrett Theological Seminary, she is married to the Rev. E. Alen Siebold, pastor at cornerstone Community Church in Lansingburgh. They are the parents of four daughters and have four grandchildren.
The Rev. Johnson-Siebold has served churches of every size in both the Troy Conference and our neighboring Wyoming Conference where she chaired the Oneonta District Committee on Ministry and served on the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry, the Conference Shared Leadership Table and the Witness and Discipleship Table. At the 750-member Moscow (PA) United Methodist Church she initiated a Friday evening Alternative Worship service. At the Marathon (NY) United Methodist Church she initiated and implemented a Wednesday afternoon Children's Release Time Religious Education program while overseeing the construction of a new building addition. At the 1100-member Tabernacle UM Church in Binghamton, NY she designed and administered a Wednesday evening “Steps in Faith” dinner, education and worship program, and wrote a successful Foundation Proposal resulting in funding for a course she designed and taught. She received the Wyoming Conference's Rural Ministry Award in 2000, and wrote a monthly column in the Wyoming Conference newspaper from 1999-2003.
Rev. Johnson-Siebold enjoys playing music, reading, walking and writing. She is the author of many United Methodist curriculum materials and the editor of one book. She was asked to present a scholarly paper for The Consultation on Children and Religion at Indiana University in 2000. Her work has appeared in refereed journals, as well as in “Mature Years” and “Baby Bug”. The April 2008 issue of the United Methodist publication “Pockets” contains her poem “Footy Mudprints”.
